County Office Membership
By joining SSDA, your county office, alongside the districts within your jurisdiction, will gain access to a wealth of resources, expert guidance, and a supportive community dedicated to the success of small schools in California. Together, we can tackle the challenges, celebrate the achievements, and ensure a brighter future for our students.
District Membership
School District Membership is available to school districts with an ADA under 5,000 students and includes the Superintendent, district Board Members, and district staff. By becoming a District Member of SSDA, you are joining a professional organization that continues to be a strong voice and an effective advocate for the needs and interests of small school districts throughout the state of California. Through our monthly newsletters, regional workshops, webinars and conferences, we are certain that the Small School Districts’ Association can support and assist you in your district’s quest for excellence.
Membership Benefits


SSDA provides assistance with legislative advocacy when you are a Member.
As a Member you will receive Capitol Advisors updates. If you are a Member and not receiving updates from Capitol advisors, please email gwen@ssda.org.
The SSDA Legislative Committee meets, advocates, and works with Capitol Advisors to influence legislative decisions for small and rural school districts and charter schools.

SSDA and the California Charter Authorizing Professionals (CCAP) are partners to advance quality authorizing in public education. Once you become a Member with SSDA, you are automatically a Member with CCAP.
With both of these Memberships you receive the following:

Consultation time to answer specific questions related to any the focus areas of Academic, Financial, Governance/Management and Public Policy.

SSDA has an assortment of Student Success Partners that offer a variety of products and services for small and rural school districts and charter schools.

As a network, SSDA provides great mentorship opportunities.
The Elevat-Ed Forum for Superintendents offers personalized professional development for small and rural school district leaders in their early years.

SSDA offers three roundtable meetings for Superintendents, CBO's, and Executive Assistants all school year.
Charter Roundtable - Bi-Weekly, Wednesdays @ 9:30 AM
Superintendent Roundtable - Bi-Weekly, Wednesdays @ 9:30 AM.
CBO Roundtable - Bi-Weely, Thursdays @ 9:00 AM.
Executive Assistant Roundtable - The second Tuesday of every month @ 9:00 AM.

Networking opportunities are immense at SSDA as we have our annual State Conference and Superintendents' & High School Leaders' Summit. We also introduce our new School Business & Administrative Leadership Symposium for EA's, CBO's, and Superintendents/Principals. Regional meetings are also back! All of these offer the opportunity to network with small school district educators from around California and our valued Associate Members, who provide a variety of incredible offerings for school districts.
SSDA supports your needs for networking and will give you the opportunity to have a leadership position within the community by joining our committee.

Your school district, principal, teacher, etc. could be featured in SSDA's monthly Newsletter.
We upload webinars and announcements from our organizations that provide hands-on learning for small school district Governing Boards and Superintendents.
Student Success Partner Membership

Student Success Partner Membership is available to businesses and associations providing services that assist small districts in a variety of areas ranging from construction to legal personnel issues. By becoming a Student Success Partner of SSDA your company acquires immediate access to the Superintendents and Trustees in these districts through advertising in our newsletter (which is distributed to every school in the state), participation at our conferences and regional meetings, and through various sponsorship opportunities at these events.
