What a year it has been! I’m excited to share our July 2024–2025 Annual Report, which highlights an extraordinary chapter in SSDA’s journey. Together, we’ve shown what’s possible when small and rural districts stand united—with a louder voice, stronger partnerships, and sharper focus than ever before.
This year, we engaged over 2,000 leaders, made our presence felt in both Sacramento and Washington, D.C., secured critical facilities funding, and rolled out new programs to close opportunity gaps and empower the leaders who make small and rural schools thrive.
All of this reflects the heart of our mission: connecting leaders, amplifying your voices, and ensuring that every student in every small and rural community gets the opportunities they deserve. And none of it happens without you—your trust, your commitment, and your willingness to show up time and again for your students and each other.
