SSDA & CCAP Announce Partnership to Advance Quality Authorizing in Public Education

The California Small School Districts’ Association (SSDA), and California Charter Authorizing professionals (CCAP), announce a new partnership to advance quality authorizing in public education.  

 SSDA is the leading association supporting small school districts in California by addressing, supporting, and lobbying for their unique needs. CCAP provides charter authorizing professionals in school districts and county offices with resources, individual consultations, and a collective voice. Collectively CCAP and SSDA are now positioned to provide resources and assistance to 57% of the state’s charter school authorizers ensuring quality education for all students.

 “The majority of charter authorizers in California are small school districts, who face many challenges in the areas of human capital, resources, and time,” says Tim Taylor, SSDA Executive Director. “SSDA is very excited to collaborate with CCAP through our mutual desire to support these districts with a strong, collaborative network of professionals that provide expertise, high-quality resources and support.”

 Through this unique partnership, members of SSDA will automatically receive a free introductory membership to CCAP for the 2020-2021 school year. CCAP membership benefits for SSDA members will include:

  • Consultation time to answer specific questions related to charter petition review, oversight and renewal.
