01.30.2009: Federal Update

The House passed an economic stimulus bill, HR 1, on January 28. A day earlier, the Senate Appropriations Committee reported out its version, S 336, but the full Senate has yet to vote on it. Both bills must be reconciled into a single bill to be signed into law by the President.
