July 24, 2008: Secure Rural School and Community Self-Determination Act

SSDA has learned that the United States Senate is considering including the Rural School and Community Self-Determination Act as part of the tax extenders package. We believe this will be considered in the Senate next week. If it is included it will be because of the strong support from California’s Senator Dianne Feinstein. If the bill passes it will be time to start writing and calling the California House of Representatives members to support this Senate provision. SSDA will update this issue after the United States Senate acts next week.
