Congratulations to Bob Douglas, the recipient of the 2008 Charlie-Binderup Award
The Charlie Binderup Award was presented to Bob Douglas by the SSDA at this year’s Annual Conference. This Award has been presented annually for over 20 years to recognize outstanding superintendents in small school districts.
Bob Douglas has dedicated 41½ years of his life to the public schools of California. He has served the community in ways ranging from serving as the Chairman of the Curriculum Commission in 1986 to serving as President of the National Forest Counties and Schools Coalition. Douglas is currently the County Superintendent for the Tehama County Department of Education and has contributed tremendously to its growth and success the last nine and one-half years.
Bob Douglas is truly deserving of this award and we wish him the best of luck in all of his future endeavors!
