Mid-Year Cut Threats

As SSDA reported earlier, the Governor has requested the Legislature to make mid-year reductions of $360 million in K-12 funding. SSDA advises school districts to be cautious in committing new categorical funds that have not yet been received. Historically, the Legislature has tended to cut new program funds that have not been allocated when they are looking at mid-year reductions.
